Below is a list of the cruise ships that have already made State Pier in New London a port call (in order from first to last):

m/s Regal Empress

A small ship by today's standards, m/s Regal Empress (Imperial Cruise Line), above, was the first-ever cruise ship in recent memory to visit Connecticut's Port of New London in September 2002. (Photo courtesy New London DAY)

m/s Maasdam, pictured top of the page (Holland America Line) arriving in May of 2008. She’d visited previously another three times.

m/s Orion (Travel Dynamics International) visited twice in 2004.

m/s Veendam, at right (Holland America Line) called on New London for the first time on Sept. 28, 2007.

m/s National Geographic Explorer (Lindblad Expeditions) made a port call on Sept. 29, 2008.

m/s Royal Princess (Princess Cruises) paid a visit to Connecticut five times in 2008.
